Rearcross U-7’s travelled to Lough Derg on Saturday and turned in fine displays from start to finish. Rearcross had six players available on the day which were ably assisted by four players on loan from Lough Derg. Team 1 was Oisin Reynolds, Holly Lenihan, Josh Cleary, James Costello and Dillon Ryan(Lough Derg). Team 1 played 3 games, Oisin Reynolds pulled of a brilliant diving save from a long range shot to deny Lough Derg an early goal. Josh Cleary and James Costello we solid in defence and produced some super defensive tackling. Holly Lenihan was the only girl with us on the day and was awesome with outstanding displays throughout. Dillon Ryan from Lough Derg was very skillful and a very good player.

Team 2 was Eoin Dervan and Jack Nolan in addition to Lough Derg’s Josh Moroney, Donagh Walsh and Harry Carney. Team 2 also played 3 games, Eoin Dervan was brilliant in defence and made some fine passes to his team mates. Jack Nolan was solid in midfield and had lots of shots on target. On loan Lough Derg players Donagh Walsh, Josh Moroney and Harry Carney were very good with some great foot work, passing and shooting. We would like to thank all 4 players from Lough Derg for helping us out on the day in what was an enjoyable outing for all involved.
